I started to write about cinema for the same reason I start to write scrips and make films ; passion. As far as I can remember this passion was born many years ago when I was 6 years old and watched for the first time the legendary film "The Wizard of Oz". From that point I decided that I should work on movies. At that time I couldn’t realize how complicated and hard is to make a film nor knew all the phases a film must to reach until it is complitely done. I was just fascinated about the fact that through a silver screen you could imitate life with lot’s of illusion, creativity and fantasy. So I grew with this feeling on me and even when I discovered that making a film is not so enchanting as I first thought when I was 6, my passion kept still there. Later on other discoveries made this passion grew up even more by watching for the first time classics like "Blade Runner", "All That Jazz", "Plein Solei", "Fellini 8 1/2", "Pulp Fiction", "Last Tango in Paris", "Jules & Jim", "Croocklyn", "Laberinto de Pasiones", "Mujeres al Borde de Un Ataque de Nervios", "Dark Habits", "Jules et Jim", "City of God" and everything people like Pedro Almodóvar, Carlos Saura, Walter Salles, Roman Polanski, Luis Buñuel, Quentin Tarantino, Vincent Minelli, Spike Lee, Akira Kurosawa, Bernardo Bertolucci, Fassbinder, Fernando Meirelles, Sophia Coppola, Julia Gravas,Julie Delpy, Isabel Coixet and many others have made. So write about cinema is above all to respect all the difficulties, all the phases and the huge faith needed by making a film. Of course there are some films better than others but all in all make a film is about to believe in your heart. And there are not so many people in this entire world who really believe in their passions and are ready to follow the yellow brick road with imagination and creativity. The filmmakers do. And write about cinema is just like watch them follwing the yellow brick road but from the other side, somewhere over the rainbow.
