Jorge Robinet (Peru)
Jorge is from Lima, Peru and is currently studying Filmmaking at the Universidad de Lima. He has taken some courses at NYU shool of Arts Tisch. He has written articles for his high school and his college newspaper. At the moment he is as a film critic for a local radio and has his own blog where he publishes movie articles. He has made two short films in college and assisted in the making of a Peruvian film called "Mañana te cuento 2".

| • Why do I write about cinema? I can’t remember exactly what was the first movie I went to watch when I was a boy, what I do remember is how much I liked going to the theaters. So, then why do I like movies ? Maybe is because the power they have to make you believe things, they make you believe you are the hero in danger, or maybe the girl that’s fighting to change things, or the couple in love. Movies are for me the best way to communicate things, they can make you feel things that other media can’t, they have the ability to make you feel like there’s no camera. Also what I like about movies, good movies, is that they have a lot of ideas inside. There is much more in a film besides what you see, there are a lot of meanings in a movie and if you watch it with all your senses you can really enjoy it. | ||||||||
