Now we start to have a faint recollection there was once a life without padded coats in our Paris office and try to remember in which closet we stuffed our bathing suits last fall, we our proud to announce the selection of a new Nisimazine Team for Cannes 2010!

Here they are:

Journalists: Olivier Croughs (Belgium), Laurie Zaffarana (Belgium), Maximilien van Aertryck (Belgium), Romain Pichon-Sintes (France), Geoffrey Crété (France), Erzsébet Plájás (Romania), Andreea Dobre (Romania), Alex (Miruna) Vasilescu (Romania), Mirona Nicola (Romania), Maria Dicieanu (Romania)

Photographers: Cristina Grosan (Romania), Damien Sueur (France), Vincent Bitaud (France)

The Nisimazine team will be in Cannes from the 11th untill the 23rd of May from where we will be reporting through the printed Nisimazine on the Croisette, but also here on the blog, with video’s, reflections, lost interviews, found footage and other interesting things we would like to present to you to provide a different angle to the normal festival coverage!

And this coverage will be starting now! As always the team is by this point (April) already knee deep in the preperation phase and wildly speculating about the possible line-up and having (bad) dreams about what to say when suddenly face to face with some of the most inspiring cinematics around.. We would like to share this ’hidden’ part of the festival and the buzz of expectations in the following weeks. So please keep checking in. To come are (amongst other things): reflections on the official poster 2010, the announcement of the selection on the 15th of April, a visit to the Crazy Horse in Paris (topic of a new film by Frederick Wiseman) and the progress on talks with the ever popular Romanian New Wave.

À bientôt!
