Into the Festival : Script&Pitch workshops Torino 2007

Story, story, story.

Those were the words of Darryl F. Zanuck, the legendary producer and founder of Twentieth Century Fox. In Turin on Corso Dante the screenwriters participating in this year’s edition of the Script&Pitch workshops have been focusing on just that, developing their stories with the help of professional tutors and working in groups to exchange ideas. During the weekend the participants will pitch their projects to producers who have been invited from different countries for a special chance to pick the project that suits their production slates the best.

Talking to the participants, you get at once the feeling of their passion and excitement ; deadlines and tutors are considered welcome by this group of screenwriters who have a clear desire to go forward in the film industry. Going from treatment to screenplay is a demanding process, but judging from the track record of Script&Pitch many of the projects will do just fine.
