Being both a film journalist and a festival producer myself, my stay at Abu Dhabi has been a tremendously satisfying experience.
As I have been roaming around the luxurious and breathtaking corridors of the Emirates Palace I find myself trying to understand exactly what part does a festival of this nature takes as a driving force behind the development of a local film industry.
